Riley was a 9-year-old boy who had never had his hair cut. His parents chose not to trim his hair when he was young, so it grew long and thick. By the time he was nine, Riley’s hair reached almost to his waist, and he took great care of it, making it smooth and light. His friends called him “Rapunzel” because of his long braid.
Riley admired a football star with shoulder-length hair and decided to grow his hair long like his idol. Even though his idol’s hair was not as long as Riley’s, he was determined to keep growing it. His mom supported his decision, and his hair became a significant part of his identity.
However, when Riley turned nine, he made a surprising decision. He wanted to cut off all his hair and donate it to make wigs for children who were fighting cancer. His family supported his kind-hearted ambition.
Riley went to the barbershop for his first-ever haircut. He was nervous at first, but he was also excited about his decision.
When the haircut was done, Riley couldn’t believe how different he looked without his long hair. His generous act caught attention, and he was even invited to talk about it on the radio.
Although it was unclear if Riley would grow his hair out again, his kind act left a lasting impression. His long hair had been a part of his identity, but now his generosity became what he was known for.
