Ron Ely, best known for playing Tarzan in the popular 1960s television series, died at his home in Los Alamos, California, on September 29, 2024, at the age of 86. His death certificate listed end-stage heart disease as his official cause of death.
The condition occurs when the heart becomes severely weakened and can no longer pump blood effectively. Ely’s health had reportedly declined considerably in the years before his death, particularly after a devastating family tragedy in 2019.
