Renowned Grammy winner Bonnie Raitt has had to reschedule multiple concerts due to an undisclosed “medical situation” that necessitates surgery. The 73-year-old artist took to Instagram to share the news, expressing regret over the cancellation and postponement of performances in May, including a show at Brandi Carlile’s Mothership Weekend.
The statement explained that the doctors recommended a couple of weeks of rest for proper healing. While disappointed by the unforeseen circumstances, Raitt’s team assured fans that she is in excellent care and eagerly anticipating the resumption of her 2023 tour, now commencing on June 1 in Dublin, Ireland.
The announcement concluded with a request for privacy during this healing period and expressed gratitude for the good wishes and understanding from fans. Raitt’s revised tour schedule includes performances across the UK before returning to the US, where she will play in Chautauqua, NY, on June 24.
