Feeling bewildered and betrayed, the woman gave her sister 30 minutes to return to the restaurant, but there was no response. True to her word, she paid for her and her husband’s portion of the bill and provided the restaurant with her sister’s information for the unpaid portion.
The following day, her sister called, upset because the restaurant was threatening to involve the police due to the unpaid bill. The woman reminded her sister that she had warned her about the restaurant’s prices and insisted that her sister pay her share.
Despite pressure from their family to resolve the issue privately, the woman stood her ground and refused to cover her sister’s portion of the bill. She maintained that her sister should take responsibility for her actions and settle the bill herself.
The situation left the woman feeling conflicted, but she remained firm in her decision not to bail her sister out financially. She concluded her post by asking the Reddit community if she was in the wrong for letting the restaurant handle the situation and not covering her sister’s portion of the bill.
