The woman was upset because her husband was late coming home again. Frustrated, she decided to write him a note saying, “I’ve had enough and have left you. Don’t bother coming after me.” After leaving the note, she hid under the bed to see what he would do when he found it.
After a short while, her husband came home. She could hear him in the kitchen before he entered the bedroom.
She watched as he walked towards the dresser, picked up the note, and read it. After a few minutes, he wrote something on the note, then picked up the phone and called someone.
On the phone, he said, “She’s finally gone…yeah, I know, about bloody time. I’m coming to see you, put on that sexy French nightie. I love you…can’t wait to see you…we’ll do all the naughty things you like.”
He then hung up the phone, grabbed his keys, and left the house. She heard his car drive off. Filled with rage and tears, she crawled out from under the bed and grabbed the note to see what he had written.
To her surprise, the note read, “I can see your feet. We’re outta bread: be back in five minutes.”
