Emma and Mark had been married for some time when Emma became pregnant with their first child.
Excited for the baby, Emma wanted to move to a larger house where they could raise their child. Mark wasn’t thrilled with the idea of moving, but he wanted to make Emma happy, so he agreed.
After searching, they found a spacious and beautiful new home, and Emma instantly fell in love with it. She could easily see their future as a family in this house.
Eager to get everything ready before the baby arrived, Emma started cleaning the house. One day, while tidying up the master bedroom, she noticed the large, floor-length mirror on the wall.
It reminded her of something out of a fairytale, like a secret door. As she cleaned it, she noticed a small nub on the side. Out of curiosity, she pulled it, and to her surprise, the mirror opened, revealing a hidden room behind it.
The small room was dimly lit and almost empty, with only a chair inside. The most unsettling part was that the room had a two-way mirror, meaning someone in the hidden room could watch whoever was in the master bedroom without being seen.
Emma’s heart sank as she realized the room was likely built for someone to spy on the occupants of the house. Feeling uneasy, she decided to leave the room but couldn’t shake the strange feeling it gave her.
Lately, Emma had felt that Mark was distant, and the thought of spying on him crossed her mind. She thought about testing his loyalty. That evening, she called Mark and told him she would be spending the night at her mom’s house.
Mark didn’t seem to care and quickly agreed, which only fueled Emma’s suspicions. So, she hid in the secret room to see what Mark would do while she was “away.”
Later that night, Emma was horrified when she overheard Mark entering the bedroom with another woman, Melissa. He told Melissa he had just moved into the house and began kissing her.
Emma’s heart shattered as she realized Mark was cheating on her. Panicking, Emma tried to leave the room but found herself trapped inside when the door slammed shut.
As she watched helplessly, Mark left the room to get pizza, leaving Melissa alone. Desperate, Emma called out to Melissa through the mirror, startling her. Melissa, confused, asked who was there, and Emma explained she was trapped behind the mirror. Shocked, Melissa opened the door and freed Emma, who came out in tears.
Melissa was equally heartbroken when she learned that Mark had lied to her. She had no idea he was married. The two women, though hurt by Mark’s betrayal, decided to join forces.
They would get their revenge. Emma planned to divorce Mark but knew he wouldn’t agree to it easily since her father was wealthy. Together, Emma and Melissa devised a plan to trick Mark into signing the divorce papers by making him think he was signing a business deal with one of Melissa’s clients.
A month later, at dinner, Emma casually asked Mark how his day at work had been. Mark, unaware of the plan, said everything was normal. At that moment, Melissa walked in, causing Mark to panic. Emma then revealed that Mark had unknowingly signed their divorce papers.
With the prenup in place, Mark had no choice but to leave. Emma was finally free of her cheating husband, and though she lost him, she gained a true friend in Melissa.
