Tucker Carlson, a former Fox News anchor, has found success in the podcasting world.
His show, The Tucker Carlson Show, was named the “top new” podcast of 2024 by Apple’s year-end charts. This recognition highlights the popularity of his podcast, which he launched in June 2023 on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Apple’s overall top five podcasts for 2024 included The Daily, Crime Junkie, The Joe Rogan Experience, Dateline NBC, and SmartLess.
Meanwhile, in the category of top new podcasts, Carlson’s show led the list, followed by Three, Mortal Sin, Drowning Creek, and The Rise and Fall of Ruby Franke. Additionally, Carlson’s episode titled “Calley & Casey Means: The Truth About Ozempic, the Pill, and How Big Pharma Keeps You Sick” was the most-shared podcast episode of the year.
On Spotify, the rankings were slightly different. Joe Rogan’s podcast remained at the top, maintaining its dominance after Rogan signed a $250 million multiyear deal with Spotify earlier this year, which ended its exclusivity on the platform. Carlson’s podcast also performed well, ranking third on Spotify’s charts.
In addition to his podcast success, Carlson made headlines with a personal story he shared during an interview. He described a strange and terrifying experience where he claimed to be physically attacked by an unseen entity while he was asleep.
He recounted waking up with claw marks on his sides and shoulder, which were bleeding. Carlson initially thought it was a dream but realized it was real after seeing blood on his sheets.
This event, he said, inspired him to buy a Bible and start reading it, an experience he described as transformative. He has since read and reread the Bible, which has had a significant impact on him spiritually.
Carlson emphasized that he doesn’t expect everyone to believe his story but remains firm in his account.
His experience was corroborated by Rod Dreher, a writer, who said Carlson had shared the story with him a year ago.
Despite the controversy surrounding him, Carlson’s podcast success and personal revelations have kept him in the public eye.
