Supatra ‘Natty’ Sasuphan, once known as the world’s hairiest girl, faced a challenging childhood marked by ridicule and fear from classmates. Born on August 5, 1999, her arrival brought surprise and disbelief to her parents, Sompon and Samrerng, as doctors revealed an extraordinary amount of hair covering her entire body, a condition diagnosed as Ambras syndrome—a rare disorder causing excessive body hair growth.
Despite the initial shock, Natty’s family embraced her with love and determination. Her mother, Sompon, defied concerns about caring for her unique child, declaring, “We are lucky that she was born into our family.” Natty’s upbringing within her family was nurturing, providing a supportive environment, but the outside world remained unkind.
