THE SIN OF CREMATION according to the Bible says…( VIDEO )

For centuries, Christians have buried their dead. But today, cremation is becoming increasingly common—and it has raised a deeply uncomfortable question: Could choosing cremation actually be a sin?

The surprising answer is that the Bible never directly commands Christians to bury the dead, nor does it explicitly forbid cremation. Burial is clearly the more common practice in Scripture, from Abraham burying Sarah to the burial of Jesus.

That tradition has led some Christians to believe burial better reflects the promise of bodily resurrection. Others point out something important: God’s power to resurrect a person cannot depend on what happened to their body after death. The Bible itself records that the remains of King Saul and his sons were burned before being buried.

There is also an important distinction between cremation itself and the reason behind it. The Catholic Church, for example, prefers burial but states that cremation is not inherently contrary to Christian doctrine and does not prevent resurrection.

So, is cremation a sin?

The Bible does not give a simple yes-or-no answer. For many Christians, the deeper issue is the motive, the respect shown to the deceased, and faith in the resurrection.
