A woman fell in love with her boss, and they kept it secret for a while. They got pregnant and decided to marry, even though they hadn’t been dating for long. But her parents didn’t like it and didn’t come to the wedding reception.
After that, her parents didn’t talk to her for five whole years. They didn’t even meet their grandchildren. Then, out of the blue, they called after seeing a post about their anniversary.
During the call, her parents said they were upset because she married her old boss. They thought he wasn’t right for her and didn’t want to cause a scene at the wedding, so they left between the ceremony and the reception. They also admitted to being prejudiced against her husband’s race.
This hurt the woman and her husband deeply. They realized her parents had never accepted their relationship.
So, even though her parents wanted to reconcile, the woman decided it wasn’t worth it because she didn’t want her kids around people who didn’t accept them.
It was a tough decision, but she chose to protect her family from her parents’ prejudice.
