New details are emerging about Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff’s life in the wake of her tragic passing at age 62. Pamela, who was married to David Hasselhoff from 1989 to 2006 and shared daughters Taylor and Hayley with him, was discovered dead in her Los Angeles home on March 5. The L.A. Medical Examiner later ruled her death a suicide.
He said “Our family is deeply saddened by the recent passing of Pamela Hasselhoff. We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult period but kindly request privacy as we grieve and navigate through this challenging time.”

Terry Ahern, a longtime friend and former representative of Pamela, spoke to PEOPLE, remembering her as “the kindest person you’d ever meet.” He added that she never showed any signs of struggling with her mental health.
“She was the last person in the world I would think [would do that], “Ahern says when asked if he was aware of Pamela struggling with depression or suicidal thoughts. “It’s a shock.”
He recalls their last conversation a few months ago, when Pamela was overjoyed, gushing about her new granddaughter, London. Her daughter Taylor, 34, had welcomed London in August with her husband, Madison Fiore. “She was so excited,” he says.
Ahern revealed that Pamela, who first met David as a guest star on Knight Rider before joining him on Baywatch, struggled with the long-term effects of a severe motorcycle crash they were involved in back in 2003.
The accident left her hospitalized with a broken neck and back, forcing her to spend months in intensive care recovering from crushed bones. Over the years, the lingering effects of the injuries took a toll on her health. As she grew older, arthritis from the crash worsened, spreading throughout her body and causing significant pain and discomfort.
Ahern, who worked with Pamela from 2012 to 2023, shared that she was surrounded by many friends and deeply cherished by those who knew her. She had a genuine love for people and a deep affection for animals.
