Isabella Strahan recently shared a surprise update about her cancer journey on social media. The 19-year-old daughter of former NFL star Michael Strahan was emotional with “happy tears” as she revealed that she would only need four rounds of chemotherapy instead of the originally planned six.
Isabella was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a type of brain cancer, in October 2023 while she was in her first year at the University of Southern California.
Initially, she attributed her symptoms to vertigo until she began experiencing severe headaches, nausea, and even vomiting blood. It was then that she knew something serious was wrong and alerted her family.
Since her diagnosis, Isabella has been undergoing treatment, which hasn’t been easy. However, in her recent YouTube video, she shared positive news about her progress.
She happily announced that she was halfway through her chemotherapy after completing her second round in March. Instead of finishing treatment in July, she now expects to be done in May, giving her the chance to enjoy a better summer.
Isabella expressed her joy and relief at the shortened treatment plan, allowing her some recovery time before returning to school.
Her father, Michael Strahan, has been a supportive presence throughout her journey, publicly sharing his admiration for her strength and optimism.
