“I’m Lucky To Be Here”: Gordon Ramsay Shares Life Lesson After Harrowing Accident

Gordon Ramsay recently had a serious bicycle accident while visiting Connecticut. The 57-year-old Michelin-starred chef shared his story on Instagram, emphasizing how important it is to wear a helmet.

In his video, Gordon spoke about his love for cycling and participating in triathlons and Ironman races. He mentioned that he had a very bad accident this week that left him bruised but alive, thanks to his helmet.

He lifted his chef’s uniform to show the purple bruises on his torso but assured his viewers that he did not have any broken bones.

Gordon thanked the trauma surgeons, doctors, and nurses who took care of him at the hospital. He stressed that helmets are crucial for safety, regardless of the length of the journey or the age of the rider. He urged everyone, including kids, to always wear a helmet.

Despite being in pain and having a tough week, Gordon felt fortunate to be standing and getting through it. He described himself as “bruised up like a purple potato” but expressed his gratitude for the medical staff at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London who treated him.

He ended his message by thanking his helmet for saving his life and wished everyone a safe Father’s Day.

Many people, including celebrities and well-wishers, left supportive comments on his post.

His daughter Holly expressed her love, Dr. Phil thanked the helmet for keeping Gordon safe, and fellow chefs and contestants from MasterChef shared their relief that he was okay.

Chef Aaroán Sánchez and Chef Jordan Torrey also sent their well wishes and emphasized how important Gordon is to the world.
