I Couldn’t Bear

Princess Diana was a remarkable woman, remembered for her beauty, kindness, and dedication.

As a mother, she deeply loved her two sons, Princes William and Harry. She was adored by millions of people for her honesty and the way she connected with others. However, despite being admired around the world, her personal life was far from perfect.

Diana’s marriage to Prince Charles was troubled. After years of scandals and difficulties, they divorced in August 1996. Tragically, just a year later, in August 1997, Diana passed away, leaving the world in shock.

Her death was especially heartbreaking for her sons, who were just young boys at the time. The image of them walking behind her casket during the funeral is one many people will never forget.

The events surrounding Diana’s death are still deeply moving. On the night of the accident in Paris, Dr. MonSef Dahman was one of the surgeons at the hospital where Diana was brought.

He later shared how he and the medical team worked tirelessly to save her life. Diana arrived at the hospital around 2:06 a.m., about an hour and a half after the car crash. Initially, Dr. Dahman wasn’t told who she was—only that a young woman had been in a severe accident.

X-rays revealed Diana had serious internal injuries. The team performed surgery and gave her blood transfusions, but she suffered another cardiac arrest. Despite their best efforts—using electric shocks, cardiac massage, and adrenaline—they couldn’t restart her heart. Dr. Dahman later said, “We fought hard, we tried a lot, really an awful lot.”

Diana’s death left a lasting mark on the world. A new documentary is set to explore her life and legacy, showing how she went from an unknown teenager to one of the most loved and mourned figures in history.

Her sons continue to honor her memory, often sharing personal stories about her love and care. Prince Harry once said, “She was one of the naughtiest parents… she’d smuggle sweets into her socks and laugh about it.”

Diana wanted her sons to have a normal childhood, often taking them to places like theme parks and fast food restaurants. She prioritized their happiness, showing them love and care in every way she could.

Though she would have been 63 this year, Diana’s legacy of kindness and compassion lives on. She remains deeply missed by her family and the world. May she rest in peace.
