This is a heartbreaking story about a father, Quinn Blackmer, who lost his two daughters, Olivia and Brailey, in a terrible tragedy.
Their mother, Tranyelle Harshman, took their lives, along with the lives of her two younger daughters from a new relationship, in what police called a murder-suicide.
The tragic incident happened in the family home in Wyoming. Harshman, 32, called the police herself and told them what had happened to her daughters. She also said she planned to take her own life. She revealed where each of her daughters was inside the house. When police arrived, Harshman was still alive but later passed away at the hospital on February 11.

At the scene, officers found that three of the children—Brailey, 9, Brooke, nearly 3, and Jordan, 2—had died. Olivia, the youngest of Quinn Blackmer’s two daughters, was still alive but badly injured. She was rushed to the hospital, where she underwent brain surgery and fought for her life for five days. Sadly, despite all efforts, she passed away. Her family wrote in a crowdfunding post that she “fought so, so hard up until the last minute.”
Her father, Quinn Blackmer, shared his deep sorrow, saying that the loss was overwhelming. However, in his pain, he found some comfort in believing that his daughters were now together. “I find peace in knowing that my babies don’t have to be apart from each other, and they can also be with their other sisters,” he wrote.

He also took the time to thank everyone who had supported them during this difficult time. Many people had contributed to the family’s GoFundMe campaign, offered prayers, and sent messages of love and support. Quinn expressed his gratitude, saying, “Your kindness and generosity mean so much. We just ask that you continue to pray and keep us all in your thoughts.”
Despite the horror of what happened, Quinn did not speak of Harshman as a monster. He acknowledged that she suffered from serious mental health struggles, including PTSD and postpartum depression, and that she had been receiving treatment.
This tragic event has left many people heartbroken, especially the families of the young girls. Our thoughts are with the grieving families during this unimaginable time.
