Former President Donald Trump continues to gain popularity in surprising places. Recently, he held a major fundraising event in San Francisco, which is known for its liberal views.
The event was organized by two venture investors, David Sacks and Chamath Palihapitiya, and took place in the affluent Pacific Heights neighborhood.
The fundraiser was a huge success, raising $12 million. This event attracted many prominent figures from the tech industry, including cryptocurrency investors and venture capitalists.
The fundraiser featured a range of ticket prices, from $50,000 to $500,000, with different perks for attendees. The fact that such an event was held in a typically Democratic area highlights Trump’s growing appeal across different regions.
During the event, Harmeet Dhillon, a member of the Republican National Committee, noted that Trump seemed relaxed and happy.
He even made jokes about artificial intelligence, showing that he was in good spirits and enjoying himself. David Sacks also took the opportunity to thank JD Vance for suggesting the idea of hosting the event for Trump.
In his speech, Sacks expressed his gratitude for Vance’s advice and support, emphasizing that the event would not have happened without him.
Sacks later posted on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), explaining why he supports Trump.
He mentioned that he has hosted events for many political candidates in the past but believes Trump has the necessary qualities to tackle important issues affecting America’s prosperity, security, and stability.
According to Sacks, the current administration under President Biden has deviated from the right path in these areas, and he believes Trump can steer the nation back in the right direction.
