Following Her Hospitalization Following a Concussion, Princess Anne Is Experiencing Impairments In Her Memory

Princess Anne, the sister of King Charles III, was hospitalized following an accident at her country home. Over the weekend, she suffered a concussion at her estate, Gatcombe Park. Due to the concussion, she is experiencing memory loss and can’t recall the details of the incident.

A statement from Buckingham Palace on Monday confirmed that the 73-year-old princess sustained injuries and is currently being monitored at Southmead Hospital in Bristol. It is expected that she will recover fully and quickly. King Charles III has been kept informed and, along with the rest of the royal family, has sent his love and best wishes to Princess Anne for a speedy recovery.

Reports indicate that horses were nearby when the accident happened, and it is believed that Anne’s head injury was caused by a horse’s leg or foot. Sir Tim Laurence, Princess Anne’s husband, updated the public on her condition on Tuesday.

When a well-wisher inquired about her health, Tim replied, “She is recovering well, thank you.” He also expressed gratitude for the excellent care provided by the medical staff and the emergency services personnel who attended to her at the scene.

Tim mentioned that they were deeply moved by the many kind messages they received from people both close and distant.

As a result of the accident, Princess Anne’s engagements for the upcoming week have been postponed, including a planned trip to Canada. Before the accident, she was seen at the Royal Ascot with her family and participated in the Trooping the Colour ceremony on June 15, 2024.

During this event, she appeared on the balcony with King Charles and other royal family members, including Kate Middleton, who made her first public appearance since announcing her cancer diagnosis three months earlier.
