An 83-year-old British man flew to Paris. When he landed, he started searching in his bag for his passport.
A serious French woman nearby asked him if he had visited France before. He replied that he had indeed been there previously.
The lady then sarcastically remarked that he should have his passport ready and waiting. The gentleman explained that he didn’t need to show it last time. “Impossible!” the woman retorted, “You British always had to show your passports here!”
The man leaned in and whispered, “Well, when I landed on the beach on D-Day in 1944, I couldn’t find any Frenchmen to show it to!” Wear your poppy with pride.
