Miranda Lambert has found herself at the center of controversy after her behavior at the Montana Festival on July 14, 2024.
During her performance, Lambert paused to reprimand members of the audience, which led to many attendees walking out in protest.
A video shared by someone in the crowd showed her addressing specific individuals and speaking sternly, asking, “Are we clear?” while pointing them out. She wore a cowboy hat and a denim dress during the incident, and her harsh tone didn’t sit well with many in the audience.
One attendee mentioned, “We left. As did LOTS of the crowd,” reflecting the frustration felt by many. Another concertgoer criticized the situation, calling it “terrible.” On TikTok, a user commented, “Respect your fans more. Without them, you’d be some nobody working at Dairy Queen,” expressing disappointment over how Lambert treated her audience.
However, not everyone was upset. Some fans came to her defense, arguing that she was simply being direct and honest. One fan who had been close to the stage said, “Honestly, she was amazing. We were right up front and loved every second of it.” Another admirer supported her actions by saying, “She is just brutally honest. Something so many of us lack.”
This is not the first time Lambert’s behavior has caused a stir. At a previous concert in Las Vegas, she stopped her performance of “Tin Man” to call out a group of women taking selfies.
She expressed her frustration by saying, “These girls are worried about their selfie and not listening to the song, and it’s pissed me off a little bit.” Her no-nonsense attitude has divided fans, with some feeling she’s out of line, while others appreciate her candid approach.
The reaction on social media has been mixed. Some people feel that Lambert was disrespectful and harsh, while others see her honesty as refreshing. Despite the backlash, it seems that Lambert remains unapologetic, and her actions continue to spark debate among her fanbase.
