Amy Slaton Halterman, one of the stars of the popular TLC show “1000-lb. Sisters,” was recently arrested. The incident occurred on September 2, 2024, at Tennessee Safari Park in Tennessee.
The trouble began when a park guest was bitten by a camel. After the bite, the park authorities called the Crockett County Sheriff’s Department to handle the situation. When the police arrived, they went to check on the guest who had been bitten. However, when they approached the guest’s vehicle, they noticed strong and unusual odors coming from it. This vehicle was where Amy Slaton Halterman, her companion Brian Scott Lovvorn, and two children were sitting.
The suspicious odors from the car led the police to investigate further. As a result, both Amy Halterman and Brian Lovvorn were arrested. The charges they are facing are quite serious. They were charged with possessing substances categorized as Schedule I and Schedule VI drugs, which are illegal and dangerous. Additionally, they are facing two counts of child endangerment, which means they are accused of putting the two children in a risky or harmful situation.
As of now, both Amy and Brian are being held in the Crockett County Jail.
