Unfortunately, the attack was not without consequences. A person attending the rally lost their life, and two others were injured, though they have since been released from the hospital.

Many people have questioned how the agency allowed such a situation to occur, especially since they failed to secure the roof of the building from which Crooks launched his attack. Additionally, concerns have been raised about how the Secret Service lost track of Crooks even though there had been previous warnings about him.
Trump expressed his disappointment with how the Secret Service handled the situation. He pointed out that there should have been better communication with local police, which didn’t happen. Despite the recommendations of the Secret Service, Trump is determined to continue holding rallies, especially in outdoor venues, as he believes they are important for his message.
In response to the incident, Ronald Rowe has taken over as the acting Secret Service Director after Kimberly Cheatle resigned following intense questioning about the agency’s failures during a House hearing. The FBI has also been investigating the attack and recently revealed that the gunman had been researching topics like mass shootings and improvised explosive devices online.
