A photo of a tiger hidden in the jungle has gone viral on social media, and spotting it quickly is said to indicate a high IQ. These types of cognitive challenges, where people have to find hidden objects in complex images, are becoming very popular on the internet. Previously, many people were puzzled by a similar image of a snow leopard that was very hard to spot.
Now, there is a new image making the rounds. In this photo, a tiger is hiding somewhere in a dense jungle scene, and the challenge is to find it within just 12 seconds. If you can do this, it supposedly means you have exceptional perceptual abilities.
Many people have taken the challenge and shared their results online. One person boasted, “Got it in 7 seconds!” while another claimed, “5 seconds.” Some comments are more humorous, with one person joking, “It’s hiding behind John Cena, right there!”
However, not everyone finds it so easy. Some people have asked for help in the comments, with one person saying, “Okay, put me out of my misery. Where is it hiding?” and another adding, “Even after ten hours I still don’t see it.”
Imagine yourself in a real jungle, with only 12 seconds to find a hidden tiger before it pounces. Your survival would depend on your ability to spot the tiger quickly. If you succeed, you might either dodge its attack or make eye contact to scare it away. This isn’t a situation anyone would want to be in, but the challenge simulates the need for quick perception and reaction.
Spotting the tiger quickly is said to indicate a high IQ and sharp vision. According to The Sun, “Your eyes need to be able to differentiate seeing something out of the ordinary in this challenge. If you have a sharp brain, this will not prove difficult as you will be able to piece together all the information you’re seeing.”
