This is the second terrible tragedy to happen in Billy LeBlanc’s family. Natalie Clark, Billy LeBlanc’s girlfriend, died at the age of 41 after getting a virus from eating raw oysters.
After having seafood for dinner, both LeBlanc and Clark contracted Vibrio vulnificus, a dangerous virus. They became very sick and had to spend several days in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
LeBlanc shared on Instagram that he woke up to find that his girlfriend had died after spending twelve days in the hospital, eight of which were in the ICU. In a post, he wrote, “We ate oysters and felt sick for a couple of days. The next morning I woke up and she was gone.” LeBlanc reminisced about the happy times they had, including traveling together. He shared that he will always remember how they got lost together and that he will miss and love her forever. He advised others to cherish their loved ones because you never know when it will be the last time you see them.
LeBlanc’s mother wrote a heartfelt Facebook post about her son’s late girlfriend. She shared that Natalie died, and Billy was just eight days away from dying in the ICU. She asked for prayers for Natalie’s son Julian, her family, and Billy’s heart and health.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that eating raw seafood leads to around 80,000 cases of Vibrio vulnificus each year. People infected with the virus can die within one to two days of becoming sick. Natalie Clark leaves behind her 17-year-old son Julian. She had posted a picture of herself and her son on Mother’s Day, thanking him for making her life better.
This tragedy occurred nine years after Billy LeBlanc lost his 13-year-old son Caleb to a heart attack. Caleb, who had regular health checks due to a family history of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, was found unresponsive and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Billy LeBlanc first gained fame on YouTube by sharing videos of his ex-wife Katie and their three children, Annie, Hayley, and Caleb. The family took a break from creating content after Caleb’s death but returned to the platform in 2019. However, their return was short-lived as LeBlanc and Katie divorced the following year.
Billy continued to post videos about his life on his own channel. In 2020, he began featuring Natalie Clark in his videos, sharing their life and experiences together until her untimely death.
