Richard visited his daughter Deidre for his 80th birthday, but she sent him away in tears. He saw some scary men inside her house. Deidre was struggling with money problems, and Richard wanted to help her. He followed the men and found out they were involved in shady business.
They asked him to help smuggle stuff across the border. Richard agreed because he wanted to save Deidre. But things went wrong, and he ended up sinking their car in a river. Richard had to mortgage his house to get money to pay Deidre’s debt.
When they went to the gang to pay, the situation got dangerous. The gangster threatened them, but then the police arrived, and there was chaos. They found out about the car in the river and arrested the gang. Richard and Deidre were safe, but Deidre felt guilty for getting her dad into trouble.
Richard reassured her and wished she had talked to him earlier. They left the club, and Richard comforted Deidre, telling her everything would be okay.
