When the ambulance arrived, Michael was in cardiac arrest. He couldn’t be saved despite efforts at the hospital. Sherri described it as the worst day of her life. Fentanyl, much stronger than morphine, is causing a rise in opioid-related deaths, including in Canada, where Michael lived.
Sherri’s post went viral, spreading awareness about the dangers of opioids. She wants people to know that opioids, especially fentanyl, are claiming many lives daily in Canada. The support she received provided some solace amid her grief.
