I Pushed My Spouse Out of Bed To Stop What I Believed Was Snoring

Lisa Lee, a young woman of 25, told a sad story to Metro. One night, while she slept beside her husband, Lewis Little, also 25, she woke up to what she thought was snoring. Lewis didn’t usually snore, so she nudged him to make it stop.

“I thought he was snoring, so I pushed him out of bed to stop. But when I felt the sheet was wet, I realized something was wrong. I turned on the light and looked at his bruised face because he couldn’t breathe. I called the ambulance, but until it arrived, it seemed as if an eternity had passed,” Lisa shared.

When the ambulance finally came, the doctors sadly told Lisa that her husband had passed away a few hours earlier.

She couldn’t believe it because she thought she heard him snoring. However, the doctors explained that the noise she heard was actually the air leaving his body and touching his vocal cords.

Lisa knew Lewis had Brugada syndrome, a rare heart condition that affects heart rhythm. Although it could be dangerous, Lewis was told he would live a long life and that he wasn’t in danger.

Sadly, he passed away a year after his diagnosis.

The loss was devastating for Lisa. She shared her story as a warning to others not to push their loved ones out of bed, especially when it comes to snoring. It was a tragic mistake that cost Lewis his life. Now, Lisa hopes her story will prevent others from experiencing the same heartache.
