Marie was a great dancer, and the woman had a beautiful voice. She even joined a punk band and made new friends.
Years went by, and both cousins got married. Sadly, their marriages were abusive. First, Marie shocked everyone by announcing her divorce due to abuse. Later, the woman did the same and shared her pain with her family. But instead of support, she was afraid they might blame her for what happened in her marriage.
It’s sad when family doesn’t understand or support us, especially during hard times. The woman hoped to share her happiness about her new relationship with her siblings, but she felt she had to keep it a secret because she feared they wouldn’t understand.
