Angus Cloud, known for his role as Fezco in the popular series Euphoria, tragically passed away at the young age of 25 on July 31. The official cause of his death was revealed on September 21 by a spokesperson for the Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau in California. It was a shocking revelation that he had died from a lethal combination of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, and benzodiazepine, ruled as an accidental overdose.
Angus had been grappling with the loss of his father, who had succumbed to stage 4 mesothelioma (cancer) on May 18. Reports indicated that this loss deeply affected him, and he had moved in with his mother in an attempt to cope with his grief.
In the wake of Angus’ untimely death, there were speculations and assumptions, with some labeling it as suicide due to his previous discussions about mental health. However, his mother, Lisa Cloud Mclaughlin, took to Facebook less than a week after his passing to refute these assumptions. She clarified that his death was unintentional and that he didn’t intend to end his life.
Lisa shared that Angus had been actively working on an art project on the day of his passing. He had placed his head on his desk, fallen asleep, and didn’t wake up. She had even given him a hug and expressed her love for him just moments before he fell asleep at his desk.
Angus Cloud’s journey to stardom was unexpected and swift. He was discovered on the streets of Brooklyn by a casting agent and was cast as Fezco in Euphoria. Initially, he had doubts about the opportunity, thinking it might be a scam. However, he recognized the potential it offered and embraced it. In interviews, he expressed that he never sought fame and wasn’t like other celebrities who actively pursued it. Despite the love and support he received, he wasn’t comfortable with the trappings of fame.
